This project involves the design of a rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in Zhytomyr, Ukraine, with a total area of 3,000 m². The primary objective was to create functional and unobtrusive interior solutions while working within strict budget constraints. The design process placed a strong emphasis on simplicity, efficiency, and accessibility. Close collaboration with rehabilitation specialists ensured that the spaces fully support therapeutic processes and meet the needs of both staff and patients.
Considering current realities, the project includes a fully equipped bomb shelter. It is designed with structural reinforcement, smoke extraction systems, bunker doors with airlock chambers, and two independent entrances to ensure safety and compliance with all requirements.
The project included full technical support, covering ventilation, air conditioning, and heating systems. Adjustments were made to the work of engineering consultants to guarantee seamless integration between technical systems and interior design solutions. This approach ensured both functionality and aesthetic consistency.
The planning solutions were driven primarily by function, ensuring logical circulation and efficient use of space. The layout supports the center’s therapeutic goals and daily operations.
